Here are some other ways to get a bike
We manage a fleet of rental bikes that used to be part of the Zagster bike-sharing program. We rent out the Zagsters from week 2 - 9 every Spring, Summer, and Fall term (Winters are harsh on bikes and we spend that time fixing up our fleet from the previous terms). Around week 2, we will schedule a campus-wide check-out period of a few hours where you can rent a bike on a first-come-first-serve basis; around week 9, we will schedule a check-in period for you to return the bike. The demand is usually high, and we recommend that you come early.
We also work with the FYSEP Office to send out information about a FYSEP-only rentals session before the general campus session. FYSEP students are welcome to show up to either the FYSEP-only rentals or the general campus rentals.
How to Rent a Bike
Before you come to the rentals session, please charge your DASH Discretionary account with the appropriate amount of money.
When you show up to rent your bike, you will sign the rentals agreement, and we will charge your DASH. We will also rent you a lock and set the lock with a unique combination of your pick. Please use the lock to prevent your bike from being stolen and remember your combination when you return the lock.
